To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release it to the run position.
Check if there is fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and verify the battery is charged. Also, make sure the PTO is disengaged and the brake is set.
To change the oil, warm up the engine, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil into a container. Replace the drain plug, add new oil through the oil fill port, and check the oil level with the dipstick.
Perform regular maintenance every 50 hours of operation or annually. This includes changing the oil, checking the air filter, inspecting belts, and ensuring blades are sharp.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Inspect the blades for damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Also, check for loose bolts or other components.
Use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
To replace the air filter, remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new filter. Ensure it is seated properly before replacing the cover.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the engage position. Inspect the PTO belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Also, ensure the electrical connections are secure.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and stabilize the fuel. Store the tractor in a dry, covered area and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
Ensure the cooling fins are free of debris and the engine oil level is adequate. Check the air filter for clogs and replace if necessary. Also, ensure the engine is not overloaded.
