To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the throttle is set to 'Start', and the PTO is disengaged. Turn the ignition key clockwise to the 'Start' position until the engine fires, then release the key.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify that the fuel tank is not empty and that the fuel shut-off valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary.
Change the engine oil every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each season, whichever comes first. Use the oil type recommended in the operator's manual.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean or replace the filter if it is dirty or damaged to ensure optimal engine performance.
First, ensure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure. Check if the mower deck is level and adjust if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and balance, sharpening or replacing them if needed.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and remove any grass clippings. Change the oil and filter, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location, and disconnect the battery if not in use for an extended period.
Ensure the tractor is on a level surface and the engine is turned off. Raise the mower deck to its highest position, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, and replace the blade with a new one. Tighten the bolt securely.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades for damage and balance them if necessary. Also, inspect the engine mounts and deck for any loose parts.
Regular maintenance, such as keeping the air filter clean and ensuring the tires are properly inflated, can improve fuel efficiency. Avoid unnecessary idling and keep the blades sharp for efficient cutting.
Check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them if necessary. Ensure the alternator belt is not loose or damaged. If the problem persists, test the battery and alternator for faults.
