To start the tractor, ensure the throttle is set to the 'fast' position, engage the parking brake, and turn the ignition key to the 'start' position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and SAE 5W-30 for colder temperatures. Always check the oil level before each use and change it after 25 hours of operation.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is in good condition, verify that the battery is charged, and make sure the air filter is clean. If problems persist, consult the manual or a professional technician.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced if it appears dirty or damaged. Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal engine performance.
After ensuring the engine is off and the blades are stationary, use a garden hose to wash the deck. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage components. Dry the deck thoroughly after cleaning.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the tractor and move it to the desired position. Make sure the tractor is on a flat surface before making adjustments.
Excessive vibration may be due to imbalanced blades or damaged components. Inspect the blades for damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Tighten any loose parts and consult a technician if the issue persists.
Check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them with a mixture of baking soda and water if needed. Ensure the battery is charged during periods of inactivity and store it in a cool, dry place.
Refer to the tire sidewall or the operator's manual for the recommended PSI. Generally, front tires are inflated to around 14 PSI and rear tires to about 10 PSI for optimal performance.
To winterize, clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery and store it in a warm place, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the tractor in a dry, sheltered area.
