Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, the parking brake is engaged, and the PTO switch is off. Insert the key and turn it to the 'Start' position until the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and 10W-30 for temperature ranges below 40°F (4°C). Always check the oil level before use.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel valve is open, and confirm that the spark plug is in good condition. If all else fails, consult the manual.
Perform an oil change every 50 hours of operation, clean or replace the air filter every 25 hours, and check the spark plug annually.
Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Lift the mower deck and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, then replace the blade and securely tighten the bolt.
Check for debris caught in the mower deck, inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, and ensure the engine mounting bolts are tight.
It is recommended to use unleaded gasoline with a maximum of 10% ethanol content. Avoid using E15 or E85 fuels.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and use compressed air to remove debris. If the filter is too dirty, replace it with a new one.
Maintain the front tires at 14 psi and the rear tires at 10 psi for optimal performance and longevity.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery, and store in a dry, covered area. Consider using a fuel stabilizer in the tank.
