To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Then, turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position until the engine begins.
Check the fuel level, battery connections, and ensure the spark plug is in good condition. Also, make sure the PTO switch is off and the transmission is in neutral.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Perform regular maintenance such as checking the oil level, cleaning the air filter, and inspecting the blades before each use. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
Ensure the mower deck is level, the blades are sharp and balanced, and the tire pressure is equal on all tires. Adjust as necessary to achieve even cutting.
Charge the battery using a compatible battery charger. If the battery does not hold a charge, consider replacing it. Regularly check and clean battery terminals to prevent corrosion.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and fill the fuel tank. Add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation. Store in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the battery if storing for an extended period.
Use a Champion RJ19LM or equivalent spark plug for this model. Ensure the spark plug gap is set to 0.030 inches before installation.
Use the cutting height adjustment lever located near the driver's seat. Move the lever to your desired height, ensuring the deck is level for consistent cutting.
Check for debris lodged in the blades or under the deck. Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Tighten any loose bolts or screws that may contribute to vibration.
