To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the transmission is in neutral, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Then, turn the ignition key to the start position.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and 10W-30 for colder conditions. Always check the oil level before each use.
Replace the air filter every 25 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal engine performance.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and verify the battery is charged. Also, make sure the safety switches are engaged.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and checking tire pressure and belts.
Check for dull or damaged blades, ensure tire pressure is consistent, and verify the deck is level. Adjustments may be needed for optimal performance.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, remove the battery for storage, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the tractor in a dry place.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired height setting.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts or components, and ensure the engine is properly mounted.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the deck using a hose or scraper. Ensure the tractor is turned off and the blades are not moving.
