To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to 'choke' for cold starts. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position until the engine runs, then release.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for damage, and verify that the air filter is clean. If issues persist, consult the user manual for detailed troubleshooting steps.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once a season to ensure optimal engine performance. Use SAE 30 oil above 40°F or 10W-30 oil for varied temperature ranges.
To adjust the mowing deck, park the tractor on level ground and lower the deck to the desired height. Use the adjustment lever or knobs as specified in the manual to ensure even cutting.
Regularly clean the battery terminals and cables to prevent corrosion. Ensure the battery is charged, especially before storage, and check electrolyte levels if applicable.
For better traction, ensure tire pressure is at the recommended levels and consider using tire chains or weights when operating on slippery or uneven terrain.
Check if the blades are sharp and properly installed. Inspect the deck for levelness and adjust as needed. Make sure the underside of the deck is clean from debris.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, remove the battery, and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Store in a dry place and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Inspect for damaged or unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or worn belts. Tighten or replace components as necessary to reduce vibration.
Locate the air filter housing, remove the cover, and take out the old filter. Insert a new filter of the same type and replace the cover securely. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions.
