To install the Whistler XTR145, mount the unit on the windshield using the provided suction cups, ensuring it has a clear view of the road. Connect the power adapter to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket for power.
Ensure that the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and the cigarette lighter socket. Check for any blown fuses in the vehicle's fuse box and replace if necessary.
Press the "VOL" button on the unit repeatedly to cycle through different volume levels until you reach your desired setting.
Press the "QUIET" button to mute the alerts temporarily. The mute function will last for the current alert cycle.
Try adjusting the sensitivity settings by pressing the "CITY" button to switch between CITY and HIGHWAY modes, reducing false alerts in urban areas.
