To properly load dishes, place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack and smaller items like cups and glasses on the top rack. Ensure that water can reach all surfaces by avoiding overcrowding.
Check for blocked spray arms, ensure that dishes are not blocking the detergent dispenser, and use the recommended amount of detergent. Regularly clean the filter and check for hard water deposits.
To reset the dishwasher, turn off the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off button, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it on again. This can help clear minor errors.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, checking and cleaning spray arms, ensuring the door seal is clean, and running a cleaning cycle with vinegar or a dishwasher cleaner monthly.
Unusual noises could be due to items inside the dishwasher coming loose or improperly loaded. Check for obstructions in the spray arms and ensure that the dishwasher is level.
Check the door gasket for wear or damage, ensure that the dishwasher is level, and verify that the drain hose is properly connected. Avoid overloading the dishwasher.
Ensure that the door is fully closed and latched, check the circuit breaker, and confirm that the dishwasher is plugged in. Verify that the delay start feature is not activated.
Remove the lower rack, twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it, rinse it under running water, and replace it by twisting clockwise. Ensure it is securely in place.
Check for clogs in the filter, drain hose, and air gap. Ensure that the garbage disposal is clear if connected. A kinked drain hose can also prevent proper drainage.
Use a high-quality automatic dishwasher detergent. Avoid using regular dish soap as it may cause excessive suds and damage the dishwasher.
