To start a cleaning cycle, load the dishwasher, add detergent, close the door, select your desired wash cycle using the control panel, and press the 'Start' button.
Check the drain hose for clogs, ensure the garbage disposal cap is removed if connected, and inspect the dishwasher filter for debris. Clean as necessary.
Remove the bottom rack, locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, twist to unlock, and lift out. Rinse under warm water and use a soft brush if needed.
Ensure the water temperature is at least 120°F, use the correct amount of detergent, and check for a clogged spray arm or filter that may need cleaning.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the 'Start' button for 3 seconds until the display clears, then restart the desired cycle.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, wipe down the door seals, and run a cleaning cycle with vinegar to remove mineral buildup.
Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is full, select a heated drying cycle, and slightly open the door after the cycle ends to allow moisture to escape.
Check for loose items in the dishwasher, ensure dishes are properly loaded, inspect the spray arm for obstructions, and confirm the dishwasher is level.
It is recommended to use high-quality dishwasher detergents specifically formulated for automatic dishwashers. Avoid using regular dish soap.
Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in, ensure the door is fully closed and latched, verify that the water supply is turned on, and inspect the circuit breaker.
