To reset the Viking FDW103WS Dishwasher, press and hold the "Start/Cancel" button for about 3 seconds. This will cancel the current cycle and reset the dishwasher.
Check the drain hose for any kinks or blockages. Ensure that the filter is clean and not clogged with food particles. Also, make sure the garbage disposal, if connected, is clear.
Remove the bottom rack to access the filter. Twist the filter counterclockwise and pull it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris and reinstall it by twisting it clockwise.
Spots on glassware can be due to hard water. Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled. You may also consider using a water softener or a dishwasher detergent designed for hard water.
Use the "Heavy Duty" cycle for heavily soiled pots and pans. This cycle uses higher temperatures and more water to effectively clean tough stains.
Ensure that the dishwasher door is fully closed and latched. Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Also, confirm that the water supply is turned on.
Run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner once a month to maintain optimal performance and prevent buildup.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack, with the open side facing downward. Load plates and bowls at an angle for better water flow. Use the top rack for cups, glasses, and smaller items.
Refer to the user manual for instructions on adjusting the water hardness setting. Typically, this involves accessing the settings menu and selecting the appropriate level based on your water supply.
Check if the child lock feature is activated. If it is, deactivate it according to the user manual. If the issue persists, try resetting the dishwasher by turning off the power for a few minutes.
