To install the Bontrager DuoTrap Sensor, locate the sensor slot on the left chainstay of your Trek 2013 Madone. Insert the sensor into the slot until it clicks in place. Ensure the sensor is aligned correctly with the magnets on the wheel and crank.
The recommended tire pressure for the Trek 2013 Madone typically ranges from 90 to 120 psi, depending on the tire model and rider weight. Always check the tire sidewall for specific pressure ratings.
For shifting issues, check for cable tension and wear, ensure the derailleur hanger is aligned, and inspect the chain and cassette for wear. Adjust the cable tension using the barrel adjuster if necessary.
Regularly check the brake pads for wear and replace them if needed. Clean the braking surface of the rims and adjust the brake tension to ensure effective stopping power. Lubricate pivot points occasionally.
To calibrate the Bontrager Node computer, ensure the wheel size is correctly set in the computer settings. Pair the computer with the DuoTrap sensor, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process.
Begin by removing the old tape and any adhesive residue. Start wrapping new tape from the ends of the handlebars, overlapping slightly as you move towards the stem. Secure the ends with finishing tape and replace the end plugs.
To adjust the saddle height, loosen the seatpost clamp using an Allen wrench, adjust the saddle to the desired height, and retighten the clamp. Ensure the saddle is level and aligned with the frame.
If the headset feels loose, first loosen the stem bolts, then adjust the top cap bolt to eliminate any play. Retighten the stem bolts and ensure the handlebars are aligned with the front wheel.
Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water to clean the carbon frame. Avoid using high-pressure water jets. Dry the frame with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots and inspect for any damage or wear.
Clean the bike thoroughly, lubricate the chain, and inflate the tires to recommended pressure. Store the bike in a dry, cool place, preferably hanging or with wheels off the ground to prevent tire deformation.
