To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired cutting height position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same level for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil before each use, sharpening blades every 20-25 hours of operation, cleaning the deck after each mow, and inspecting belts and filters monthly. Annual maintenance should include changing the oil, replacing spark plugs, and a comprehensive inspection of all components.
Ensure the fuel tank has fresh, clean fuel. Check the spark plug for wear or damage, and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and not clogged. If the mower still doesn’t start, inspect the ignition system and connections for any issues.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is engaged. Inspect the drive belts for wear or damage and replace them if necessary. Make sure the battery is fully charged and all electrical connections are secure.
First, ensure the mower is off, and disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower so the deck is accessible. Use a hose to spray off grass clippings and debris. For stubborn debris, gently use a scraper or brush. Dry the deck to prevent rusting.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 or 10W-30 motor oil for optimal performance. Always check the owner's manual for specific oil grade recommendations based on your operating environment.
To replace the air filter, first, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Locate the air filter cover, remove it, and take out the old filter. Insert a new air filter in the same position, replace the cover, and reconnect the spark plug.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or worn-out engine mounts. Inspect the blades for damage and replace if necessary. Tighten any loose bolts and check the engine mounts for wear.
Ensure the mower is regularly maintained, including cleaning the air filter, using the correct oil, and keeping blades sharp. Avoid mowing in wet conditions and cut grass at the recommended height to reduce engine strain and improve efficiency.
Always wear appropriate safety gear, including goggles and ear protection. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. Never operate the mower in reverse unless necessary, and always ensure the area is clear of people and debris.
