To change the oil, warm up the engine, place a drain pan under the engine, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the old oil to fully drain. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Check the fuel level, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, verify the battery charge, and ensure the air filter is clean. Replace or repair any components as needed.
Ensure the tire pressure is even, check the mower deck for levelness, and inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Adjust and sharpen as necessary.
Conduct a thorough inspection of the engine, change the oil, replace the spark plug, clean or replace the air filter, and ensure all moving parts are lubricated.
Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season or more frequently if the grass is tough or if you notice a decline in cutting performance.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine issues.
Remove the air filter and carburetor cover, then disconnect the fuel line. Use carburetor cleaner to clean all accessible parts, reassemble, and test the engine.
Check for debris caught in the blades or mower deck, ensure blades are balanced, and inspect engine mounts for wear. Tighten any loose components.
Regularly clean the engine cooling fins, ensure proper oil levels, and avoid overloading the tractor. Keep the engine compartment clear of debris.
Remove fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the tractor thoroughly, and store in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
