To assemble the shock absorbers, start by filling the shock body with oil, then insert the shock shaft through the bottom. Next, attach the shock cap and bleed excess oil. Finally, secure the spring and adjust the preload collar to your preference.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a 4S LiPo battery with a capacity of at least 5000mAh and a discharge rate of 40C or higher.
Check the servo connections, ensure the steering linkage is not binding, and verify that the servo saver is functioning correctly. Adjust the trim settings on your transmitter if necessary.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the vehicle after each run, checking for loose screws, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting the drivetrain for wear. It's also important to check and adjust suspension settings periodically.
To adjust the ride height, use the preload collars on the shock absorbers to raise or lower the chassis. Ensure that the ride height is even on both sides for balanced handling.
Essential tools include a set of hex drivers, a pair of needle-nose pliers, a hobby knife, a body reamer, and a shock oil bottle. Having a setup board and calipers can also be beneficial for precise adjustments.
Improving handling can be achieved by adjusting the suspension settings, such as camber, toe-in, and shock oil weight. Additionally, choosing the right tires for the track conditions can significantly enhance performance.
Signs that the differential needs maintenance include unusual noises, inconsistent handling, and visible oil leakage. Regularly checking and refilling differential oil can prevent these issues.
To bind the transmitter to the receiver, power on the receiver while holding the bind button, then power on the transmitter in bind mode. The LED on the receiver will indicate a successful bind. Consult your transmitter's manual for specific instructions.
Store the vehicle in a cool, dry place. Disconnect the battery and store it separately at a storage charge. Clean the vehicle and check for any loose parts before storing. Consider using a vehicle stand to prevent flat spots on the tires.
