To properly set up the suspension, start by adjusting the ride height so that the chassis is level. Use shock oil and springs suitable for your track conditions. Fine-tune the camber and toe angles for better handling and stability.
Check for any loose screws or connections in the steering assembly. Ensure the servo is functioning correctly and is centered. Inspect the steering linkage and bellcrank for any signs of damage or wear.
Regularly check and replace the differential oil or grease. Inspect the gears for wear and replace them if necessary. Ensure the differential is properly sealed to prevent dirt and debris from entering.
Clean the chassis and components to remove dirt and debris. Inspect the tires, suspension, and drivetrain for wear. Tighten any loose screws and check the electronics for any signs of damage or overheating.
Loosen the motor mount screws slightly and adjust the motor position until the gears have a slight backlash. Use a piece of paper between the gears during adjustment to ensure proper mesh.
Poor acceleration can be caused by a slipping clutch, worn-out motor brushes, or incorrect gear ratios. Check the slipper clutch settings, inspect the motor, and ensure the pinion and spur gears are suitable for your track conditions.
