To connect your Sony XBR-85X90CH to Wi-Fi, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Turn on Wi-Fi and select your network from the list. Enter your Wi-Fi password if prompted.
Ensure the power cord is properly connected to both the TV and the outlet. Check if the outlet is working by plugging in another device. If using a remote, try replacing the batteries. Press the power button on the TV itself to rule out remote issues.
Check if the TV is muted or if the volume is set to zero. Verify audio settings in the menu under Settings > Display & Sound. Make sure external speakers or sound systems are properly connected if in use.
To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > Device Preferences > Reset. Select 'Factory data reset' and confirm. Note that this will erase all personalized settings and data.
Ensure your TV is connected to the internet. Go to Settings > Device Preferences > About > System Update. Follow on-screen instructions to download and install any available updates.
To enable HDR, navigate to Settings > Watching TV > External Inputs > HDMI Signal Format. Set the HDMI port to 'Enhanced format' to allow HDR content.
Check the resolution settings under Settings > Display & Sound > Picture. Ensure the source content is in high definition. Check HDMI cables for any damage or improper connection.
Connect the gaming console to the TV using an HDMI cable. Turn on the console and select the corresponding HDMI input on the TV using the Input or Source button on the remote.
Go to Settings > Parental Lock (Broadcast) or Parental Lock (Streaming Channels). Set a PIN and adjust restrictions according to your preferences to control access to specific content.
Replace the batteries in the remote. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV. Try using the TV's physical buttons to rule out issues with the TV itself.
