To perform a factory reset, restart your laptop and press 'F10' when you see the VAIO logo. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process. Ensure to backup your data before proceeding.
First, ensure the laptop is charged. Try a hard reset by removing the battery and AC adapter, then hold the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and try turning it on again.
Turn off the laptop and unplug it. Remove the battery and locate the RAM compartment at the bottom. Use a screwdriver to open the compartment and replace the RAM module, ensuring it's seated properly.
Ensure the touchpad is enabled in the BIOS. You can also try updating or reinstalling the touchpad driver through the Device Manager.
Click on the network icon in the taskbar, select your Wi-Fi network, and click 'Connect'. Enter the network security key if prompted.
Turn off and unplug the laptop. Use a can of compressed air to blow out dust from the vents. If necessary, open the back panel to clean the fan directly.
Visit the Sony support website, download the latest BIOS update for your model, and follow the instructions provided. Ensure the laptop is plugged in during the update process.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Bluetooth Devices. Click 'Add a device' and follow the instructions to pair new devices. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on using the function keys.
Consider upgrading the RAM or replacing the HDD with an SSD. Regularly clean up unnecessary files and programs, and run a disk defragmentation.
Check the display settings and update the graphics driver. If the issue persists, it could be a hardware problem, and you might need to consult a technician.
