To start the Skil HT4221-00 Trimmer, ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Press the safety lock button and then squeeze the trigger to activate the trimmer.
If the trimmer line does not advance, check for any tangles or jams in the spool. Ensure the line is wound correctly, and if necessary, replace the line with a new one.
To extend battery life, avoid overcharging and store the battery in a cool, dry place. Regularly clean the trimmer to ensure efficient operation.
Regularly clean the trimmer head and body. Check for any loose screws and tighten them. Inspect the trimmer line and replace it as needed. Lubricate moving parts according to the manufacturer's instructions.
