Seiko World Time Instructions

To set the time, first pull the crown out to the first click. Rotate the crown to adjust the time. Ensure the watch is set to AM or PM by advancing the hour hand past 12. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
To adjust the world time, pull the crown out to the second click. Rotate the crown to select the desired city on the bezel. Push the crown back in to confirm the selection.
A watch running fast may need regulation. Check for magnetization by using a compass; if the needle moves, demagnetization is necessary. If the issue persists, professional servicing may be required.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning and inspection every 3-5 years, battery replacement if applicable, and water resistance testing to ensure longevity.
To replace the battery, open the case back using a case opener tool. Remove the old battery using plastic tweezers and insert a new one of the same type. Ensure the battery is properly seated before closing the case back.
Inaccurate timekeeping can be due to low battery, magnetization, or need for servicing. Check battery life and test for magnetization. If the problem persists, consult a professional watchmaker.
Use a soft cloth to wipe the case and bracelet. For metal bands, use mild soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid immersing the watch in water unless it is water-resistant. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Press the top button to start the stopwatch. Press the same button again to stop it. The bottom button resets the stopwatch to zero. Ensure the crown is pushed in to the normal position during use.
If the crown is difficult to pull out, gently wiggle it while pulling. If it remains stuck, do not force it. Seek assistance from a professional watch technician to avoid damage.
To maintain water resistance, have the watch's seals and gaskets inspected and replaced as needed, especially after battery changes or exposure to water. Avoid pressing buttons underwater.
