To set the time on your Seiko W861, pull the crown out to the second click position. Turn the crown to adjust the time, making sure the AM/PM setting is correct. Push the crown back to its original position once the time is set.
It's recommended to have a professional replace the battery to ensure the watch remains waterproof. If you choose to do it yourself, open the case back carefully, remove the old battery, and replace it with a new one of the same type, ensuring proper orientation.
First, check if the battery needs replacing. If the problem persists, consider servicing the watch as it may require cleaning or lubrication. Contact a certified Seiko service center for assistance.
To adjust the bracelet length, use a pin pusher tool to remove the pins from the links you want to detach. After removing the necessary links, reassemble the bracelet by reinserting the pins.
The Seiko W861 is water-resistant, but it's important to check the specific water resistance rating. Generally, it's safe for light swimming, but avoid exposing it to high-pressure water activities.
Avoid exposing the leather strap to water, oils, or perfumes. Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth and store the watch in a cool, dry place when not in use to extend the strap's life.
Time deviation can occur due to magnetic fields, temperature changes, or a need for servicing. Ensure your watch is not exposed to magnetic sources and consider having it calibrated by a professional if the issue persists.
Clean the case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using soap or detergent. For tougher dirt, use a soft brush. Always ensure the crown is pushed in to maintain water resistance during cleaning.
It's recommended to service your Seiko W861 every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance. Regular servicing includes cleaning, lubrication, and checking for worn parts.
Ensure the watch is not set between 9 PM and 3 AM when adjusting the date, as this can damage the mechanism. If the problem persists, have the watch inspected by a professional.
