To set the time, pull the crown out to the second click position. Rotate the crown to adjust the time, ensuring the correct AM/PM setting. Push the crown back to its normal position once the time is set.
If your watch stops, check the battery first. If the battery is fine, inspect the watch for any visible damage or water ingress. If issues persist, consider taking it to a certified Seiko repair center.
To use the telemeter, start the chronograph when you see a lightning flash. Stop it when you hear the thunder. The telemeter scale on the dial will show the distance from the lightning event.
Regular maintenance includes checking the battery every 2-3 years, ensuring the seals are intact for water resistance, and having a full service every 5-7 years.
Pull the crown to the second click. Press the buttons as described in your manual to adjust the minute and second hands to the zero position. Push the crown back when finished.
Most Seiko Telemeter watches are water-resistant, but the level of resistance varies by model. Check the case back or manual for specific water resistance ratings.
If the watch is running fast or slow, it may require regulation, or the battery might be low if it's a quartz model. Mechanical watches may need a service to address this issue.
Yes, you can replace the strap yourself using a spring bar tool. Ensure you get the correct strap size for your watch model.
Clean the watch with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking it, especially if it doesn't have high water resistance. Use a soft brush for stubborn dirt, particularly around the case and strap.
The tachymeter scale lets you measure speed over a fixed distance. Start the chronograph at the beginning and stop it at the end. The scale will show your speed in units per hour.
