To set the time on your Seiko 6R64, pull the crown out to the second click position. Turn the crown to set the time, ensuring the correct AM/PM setting by advancing the hour hand past 12. Push the crown back in once the time is set.
Pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid changing the date between 9 PM and 3 AM to prevent damage to the movement.
To manually wind your Seiko 6R64, ensure the crown is in the normal position and turn it clockwise. It's recommended to wind it about 20-30 times for a full power reserve.
First, try manually winding the watch. If it still doesn't work, check for any obstructions or damage. If the problem persists, it's best to have it examined by a professional watchmaker.
To set the GMT hand, first adjust the main time. Then, with the crown in the first click position, rotate it to set the GMT hand to the desired time zone.
It is generally recommended to have the Seiko 6R64 serviced every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
The Seiko 6R64 is water-resistant, but it's important to verify the specific water resistance rating of your model. Generally, it should be suitable for light swimming, but not for diving or intense water sports.
Use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the case and bracelet. Avoid using chemicals or submerging the watch in water. For a deeper clean, consider professional servicing.
If your watch is running fast or slow, it may need regulation. This is best done by a professional watchmaker to ensure accuracy.
Verify the authenticity by checking the serial number, movement details, and craftsmanship. It's also recommended to purchase from authorized dealers or seek verification from Seiko service centers.
