To set the time, pull the crown out to the second click position. Turn the crown to adjust the time. Push the crown back in to resume the normal watch operation.
If your watch stops, first check the battery. If the battery is depleted, replace it with a new one. If the watch still doesn't work, consult an authorized Seiko service center.
To adjust the date, pull the crown to the first click position and turn it clockwise to set the date. Ensure the time is not between 9 PM and 1 AM when changing the date to prevent damage.
Seiko recommends a complete overhaul every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance. Regular battery changes and inspections are also advised.
Check the water resistance rating on your specific model. If it is water-resistant up to at least 100 meters, it is generally safe for swimming. Avoid pressing the buttons underwater.
To reset the chronograph, ensure it is stopped, then press the reset button to return all chronograph hands to zero.
The Seiko 6M15 typically uses a SR927W battery. Always check the user manual for confirmation.
If your watch is losing time, the battery could be low or there might be a mechanical issue. Replace the battery first; if the issue persists, seek professional servicing.
While it is possible to replace the battery yourself, it is recommended to have it replaced by a professional to ensure proper fitting and to maintain water resistance.
Use a soft cloth to wipe the watch. For metal bracelets, you can use a toothbrush with mild soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking the watch unless it is water-resistant.
