To manually wind your Seiko 5R65, unscrew the crown and turn it clockwise until you feel resistance. This action winds the mainspring, providing power to the watch.
The Seiko 5R65 is water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it suitable for recreational scuba diving.
Pull the crown out to the second click and turn it to set the hands to the desired time. Push the crown back in and screw it down to ensure water resistance.
If the watch stops, try manually winding it to ensure it has power. If it still doesn't work, it may require servicing by an authorized Seiko service center.
Seiko recommends having your watch serviced every 3 to 5 years to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
It is not recommended to wear the watch in hot tubs or saunas, as extreme heat can damage the watch's seals and affect water resistance.
The Spring Drive combines mechanical and electronic components, using a mainspring for power and an electronic regulator for precision, providing smooth movement of the second hand.
The Seiko 5R65 typically comes with a stainless steel bracelet, but it is compatible with various aftermarket rubber or silicone straps for diving purposes.
The Spring Drive's accuracy is usually within ±1 second per day. Regular use and winding can help maintain this accuracy. If you notice significant deviations, consult a professional.
The Seiko 5R65 has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours when fully wound.
