To connect your Samsung D5500 Series TV to Wi-Fi, go to Menu > Network > Network Settings. Select Wireless, choose your Wi-Fi network, and enter the password if prompted.
Ensure the TV is plugged in and the power outlet is working. Try pressing the power button on the TV, not the remote. If it still doesn’t turn on, unplug it for 30 seconds then try again.
To update the firmware, go to Menu > Support > Software Update > Update Now. Make sure your TV is connected to the internet. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Check if the source device is outputting at the correct resolution. Go to Menu > Picture > Picture Mode and adjust settings as necessary. Ensure all cables are securely connected.
To perform a factory reset, go to Menu > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset. Enter the security PIN (default is 0000), and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.
First, replace the batteries in the remote. If it still doesn't work, try resetting the remote by removing the batteries, pressing power for 8 seconds, and then reinserting the batteries.
Connect external speakers using the TV’s audio output ports, such as the optical audio out or HDMI ARC. Then go to Menu > Sound > Speaker Settings to configure the audio output.
Check if the TV is muted or if the volume is turned down. Verify the audio settings by going to Menu > Sound and ensure the correct output is selected. Restart the TV if needed.
Press the Smart Hub button on your remote to access the Apps panel. From here, you can select and open installed apps, or download new ones from the Samsung App Store.
Go to Menu > Picture > Picture Mode and choose a preset such as Standard or Movie. For manual adjustments, go to Picture > Expert Settings and tweak the Brightness, Contrast, and Color.
