Ryobi RY401020 Operator's Manual

To start the Ryobi RY401020 mower, ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed. Press and hold the start button while pulling the bail lever towards the handle to engage the mower.
Check that the battery is charged and correctly inserted. Ensure the safety key is in place. If the mower still doesn't start, inspect for any obstructions in the blade area and check the connections.
It's recommended to sharpen the mower blades every 20-25 hours of use or at least once a season to maintain optimal cutting performance.
After use, disconnect the battery and use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using water directly on the mower to prevent damage to electrical components. Brush off grass clippings and debris from the blade area.
To adjust the cutting height, use the single-point height adjustment lever located near the wheel. Lift the lever to raise the height or push it down to lower the cutting height.
Regularly check and clean the mower's deck, blades, and air vents. Ensure the battery is charged and stored properly. Inspect for any loose bolts or parts and fix them as needed.
To maximize battery life, fully charge the battery before use, avoid completely discharging it, store it in a cool, dry place, and charge it every few months if not used regularly.
The mower may stop if the battery is low, the blade is obstructed, or if the motor overheats. Check these aspects, clear any blockages, and allow the motor to cool down if necessary.
Ensure the blade is sharp and not damaged. Check that the mower deck is level and the cutting height is set as desired. Uneven terrain may also affect the cut quality.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove the battery, and store it in a dry, safe location. Keep the mower in an upright position if space permits, and cover it to prevent dust accumulation.
