To reset the Roland TD-5 to its factory settings, turn off the module. Hold down the 'SHIFT' and 'EDIT' buttons simultaneously and turn the power back on. This will restore the factory settings.
First, check all cable connections to ensure they are secure. Then, verify that the pad settings are correctly configured in the TD-5 module. If the issue persists, try using a different pad to check if the problem is with the pad or the module.
To update the sound settings, use the 'EDIT' button to navigate through parameters such as pitch, decay, and volume. Adjust the settings using the jog wheel, and press 'ENTER' to confirm changes.
Connect the main outputs of the TD-5 to the inputs of your audio interface using 1/4-inch cables. Make sure the audio interface is connected to your computer and configured properly in your recording software.
Regularly check and clean all cable connections and ensure the module is stored in a clean, dust-free environment. Periodically test all pads and inputs to ensure they function correctly.
Press the 'CLICK' button to access the metronome settings. Use the 'EDIT' button to adjust parameters such as tempo and time signature, and use the jog wheel to make changes. Press 'ENTER' to save your settings.
Refer to the user manual to decipher the error code. Most errors can be resolved by performing a factory reset or checking all connections. If the issue persists, contact Roland customer support for assistance.
Access the pad settings by pressing 'EDIT,' then select 'SENS' (sensitivity). Use the jog wheel to increase or decrease the sensitivity for each pad, and press 'ENTER' to save your changes.
The Roland TD-5 does not support custom sample imports. You can use external MIDI software to trigger custom samples via a connected computer or sampler.
Use the 'EDIT' button to enter the pad assignment menu. Select the pad you want to edit, then choose a new sound from the module's onboard library using the jog wheel. Press 'ENTER' to assign the sound to the pad.
