To attach the flash, slide the AF-360FGZ into the camera's hot shoe. Ensure it is securely seated by tightening the locking mechanism to prevent it from detaching during use.
To reset the AF-360FGZ, turn off the flash. Then hold down the 'Mode' and 'Select' buttons simultaneously while turning the flash back on. This will restore factory settings.
The AF-360FGZ does not support user-upgradable firmware. For updates, contact Ricoh Pentax customer support or visit an authorized service center.
The AF-360FGZ features several modes including P-TTL, TTL, Auto, and Manual. Switch between modes by pressing the 'Mode' button until the desired mode appears on the LCD screen.
To use the flash off-camera, set it to 'Wireless' mode. Ensure both the flash and camera are set to the same channel and group. Use the camera's built-in flash or another compatible flash to trigger the AF-360FGZ.
Ensure the flash is properly seated in the hot shoe and the locking mechanism is tightened. Check the battery level and verify that the flash is powered on and set to a compatible mode with your camera.
The AF-360FGZ uses four AA batteries. To replace them, open the battery compartment by sliding the cover, remove the old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
Tilt the flash head upwards or sideways to bounce the light off a ceiling or wall. This technique softens shadows and reduces direct light on the subject.
If the flash overheats, turn it off and allow it to cool down. Avoid firing rapidly in quick succession and ensure the ventilation is not obstructed.
Regularly clean the flash's contacts with a soft cloth, check battery levels before use, and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture.
