To install the Pyle PLDVRCAMAND75 Dash Cam, mount it on your windshield using the provided suction cup mount. Connect the power cable to the camera and plug it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Adjust the camera angle to capture the desired view and ensure it's securely positioned.
If the dash cam is not turning on, first check if the power cable is properly connected. Ensure that the cigarette lighter socket is functioning by testing it with another device. If the problem persists, try a different power cable or consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
To view recorded footage, remove the microSD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Alternatively, you can connect the dash cam directly to your computer using a USB cable to access the files. Use compatible video playback software to view the recordings.
If the dash cam is not recording in a loop, check the settings to ensure that loop recording is enabled. Also, verify that the microSD card has sufficient free space and is not write-protected. Formatting the card may resolve loop recording issues.
To update the firmware, visit the Pyle website to download the latest firmware file. Transfer the file to the root directory of the microSD card, insert the card into the dash cam, and power it on. The device should automatically detect and install the update.
For optimal video quality, set the dash cam to record at the highest available resolution, typically 1080p. This ensures clear and detailed footage, which is especially useful for capturing license plates and other critical details.
To prevent overheating, avoid exposing the dash cam to direct sunlight for extended periods. Ensure proper airflow around the device by not obstructing the vents. If overheating persists, consider using a sunshade or relocating the camera to a cooler spot on the windshield.
Use a high-quality microSD card with at least Class 10 or UHS-I rating, and a minimum capacity of 32GB for optimal performance. This ensures smooth video recording and extended storage without data corruption.
To adjust the date and time, access the dash cam's settings menu. Navigate to the date/time settings and use the on-screen options to set the correct date and time. Confirm your changes and exit the menu to save the settings.
If the video quality is poor, clean the lens with a microfiber cloth to remove any dirt or smudges. Check the resolution settings to ensure they are set to the highest quality. If issues persist, inspect the microSD card for errors and replace it if necessary.
