To install the Pyle PLDVRCAM44, mount the dash cam to your windshield using the suction cup mount. Connect the power cable to the dash cam and plug it into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. Adjust the camera angle to ensure it captures the desired view.
If the dash cam does not turn on, ensure that the power cable is securely connected and that the cigarette lighter socket is functioning. Check the fuse and replace it if necessary. Try resetting the device by pressing the reset button.
To format the SD card, access the dash cam's menu settings, navigate to the 'Format' option, and select it. Confirm the action to format the SD card, which will erase all data and prepare it for use.
The Pyle PLDVRCAM44 supports microSD cards up to 32GB. Ensure the card is Class 10 or higher for optimal performance.
Check the Pyle website for any available firmware updates. Download the update file and transfer it to an empty SD card. Insert the SD card into the dash cam and follow on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Ensure the dash cam's night vision mode is enabled. Clean the windshield and camera lens for better clarity. Adjust the exposure settings in the menu if necessary to improve night recording quality.
To view recorded videos, remove the SD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to a computer. Alternatively, you can connect the dash cam to a computer via USB and access the files directly.
If the dash cam crashes or freezes, try resetting it using the reset button. Ensure the firmware is up-to-date. If the issue persists, consider replacing the SD card, as a faulty card can cause such problems.
To enable motion detection, access the camera’s menu settings, find the 'Motion Detection' option, and switch it on. This feature will allow the dash cam to start recording when it detects movement.
To ensure loop recording is enabled, go to the dash cam's settings menu, find the 'Loop Recording' option, and choose the desired time interval. This ensures the dash cam overwrites the oldest footage when the SD card is full.
