To install the Pyle PLCMDVR49 Dash Cam, mount the camera on the windshield using the provided suction cup or adhesive mount. Connect the camera to the vehicle's power source using the supplied power cable, and ensure it is positioned to capture the desired view.
If the dash cam is not turning on, check the power connection and ensure the cable is securely connected. Verify that the vehicle's power outlet is functioning. If the issue persists, try using a different power cable or contact Pyle support for further assistance.
To format the SD card, insert it into the dash cam, access the settings menu, and select the option to format the card. This will erase all data on the card, so ensure that important footage is backed up beforehand.
Adjust the camera angle by loosening the mount screws and tilting the camera to ensure it captures the entire road ahead without obstructions. Secure the mount once the desired angle is achieved. Test the view by checking the recorded footage.
To update the firmware, download the latest firmware version from the Pyle website. Transfer the firmware file to the SD card, insert it into the dash cam, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Ensure that the audio recording feature is enabled in the dash cam settings. If the problem persists, check the microphone for any obstructions or damage, and consider resetting the device to factory settings.
Remove the SD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Open the file explorer, navigate to the SD card, and copy the desired video files to your computer for viewing.
To enable parking mode, ensure the dash cam is connected to a constant power source. Configure the parking mode settings in the dash cam menu, allowing it to record when motion is detected while the vehicle is parked.
Clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or smudges. Adjust the focus settings in the dash cam menu if available. Ensure the camera is securely mounted and not vibrating during operation.
Regularly clean the lens and check for software updates. Format the SD card monthly to prevent file corruption. Inspect the power connection and mount for wear and tear, and store the dash cam in a cool, dry place when not in use.
