To assemble the Pyle PHMD05, attach the search coil to the lower stem, connect the lower stem to the upper stem, and then secure the control box on top. Ensure all connections are tight.
Adjust the sensitivity by turning the sensitivity knob on the control box. Start with a mid-range setting and increase or decrease based on ground conditions and interference.
Ensure the battery is fully charged, check all cable connections, and confirm that the sensitivity is not set too low. Also, test the detector in an area free of known metal to verify functionality.
Regularly clean the search coil and control box with a damp cloth. Check for loose screws and connections, and store the detector in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
The Pyle PHMD05 provides different tone alerts for various metals. Familiarize yourself with the tone differences by testing known metal types.
The search coil is waterproof and can be used in shallow water, but the control box is not waterproof and should be kept dry.
Reduce the sensitivity setting, check for nearby electronic interference, and ensure the coil is not bumping into rocks or other solid objects.
Disassemble the stem sections if necessary, clean all parts, remove the battery, and store the detector in a cool, dry place.
The Pyle PHMD05 can detect objects up to approximately 6 inches deep, depending on the size and composition of the object.
The Pyle PHMD05 requires a 9V battery. Ensure to use a high-quality battery for optimal performance.
