To set up the Oki MC351 on a network, connect the printer to your router using an Ethernet cable. Access the printer menu, navigate to 'Network Settings', and select 'TCP/IP'. Enable DHCP to automatically assign an IP address, or manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. Confirm the settings and print a network configuration report to verify connectivity.
First, ensure that you are using genuine Oki toner cartridges. Turn off the printer and carefully remove each cartridge. Inspect for any protective seals or packaging that may not have been removed. Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they click securely into place. Turn the printer back on and check the status.
To clear a paper jam, turn off the printer and open the front cover. Carefully remove any jammed paper, making sure to pull it in the direction of the paper path to avoid tearing. Check the rear cover and duplex unit for any additional paper. Once cleared, close all covers and turn the printer back on.
Check if the toner cartridges are empty or not properly installed. Verify that the toner save mode is not activated. Also, ensure the correct paper type and size are selected in both the printer settings and the print job settings. If the issue persists, try a printer reset or consult the user manual.
To perform a factory reset, press the 'Menu' button, navigate to 'Admin Setup', and enter the administrator password. Select 'Maintenance Menu', then 'Factory Reset'. Confirm the reset by selecting 'Yes'. Note that this will restore all settings to factory defaults.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the top cover and remove the toner cartridges and drum units. Locate the fuser unit at the rear and unscrew it. Carefully remove the old fuser and insert the new one, securing it with screws. Reinstall the drum units and toner cartridges before closing the cover and powering the printer back on.
Ensure that you are using high-quality paper and genuine Oki toner cartridges. Clean the LED heads and ensure no toner is spilled inside the printer. Check the printer settings to ensure the correct media type is selected. Perform a calibration through the printer menu for optimal results.
Ensure the Wi-Fi module is properly installed in the printer. Access the printer's network settings and select 'Wireless Setup'. Choose your network and enter the password. Check for any firmware updates that might improve connectivity. If issues persist, restart your router and printer.
Place the document on the scanner glass or in the document feeder. On the printer's control panel, press the 'Scan' button, then select 'Scan to PC'. Choose your computer from the list and select the desired file format. Press 'Start' to begin scanning. Ensure the scanner driver is installed on your computer.
Visit the Oki Europe website and download the latest firmware version for the MC351. Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. Run the firmware update utility and follow the on-screen instructions. Do not turn off the printer during the update process. Once completed, restart the printer.
