To connect your smartphone, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Then, navigate to the Mini's infotainment system, select 'Bluetooth', and search for devices. Choose your phone from the list and confirm the pairing code on both devices.
After inflating your tires to the recommended pressure, turn the ignition to the 'on' position without starting the engine. Use the iDrive controller to navigate to the 'Vehicle Info' menu and select 'Vehicle Status'. Then, select 'Reset' under the TPMS option and drive the car to complete the reset process.
First, ensure the vehicle is off and cool. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Remove the cover from the back of the headlight, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the old bulb. Install the new bulb without touching the glass, reconnect the connector, and replace the cover.
The recommended oil change interval for the Mini Convertible 2017 is every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. However, frequent short trips or extreme driving conditions may require more frequent changes.
In the event of an automatic system failure, locate the manual override tool in the trunk. Insert the tool into the designated slot near the rear seats and turn it to disengage the lock. Carefully raise or lower the top manually.
A rough idle could be due to various reasons such as a dirty air filter, faulty spark plugs, or a clogged fuel injector. Check these components and replace or clean as necessary. If the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, perform regular maintenance such as oil changes and air filter replacements, avoid rapid acceleration and hard braking, and remove unnecessary weight from the vehicle.
If the check engine light illuminates, check for any obvious issues such as a loose fuel cap. If none are found, use an OBD-II scanner to read the fault codes or visit a professional mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
To enable or disable the automatic start/stop feature, press the dedicated button on the center console near the gear shifter. The system can be toggled on or off with this button.
To replace the windshield wipers, lift the wiper arms away from the windshield. Press the release tab on the wiper blade and slide it off the arm. Attach the new wiper blade by sliding it onto the arm until it clicks into place. Lower the wiper arms back onto the windshield.
