To turn on the Midland LXT300, press and hold the power button until the display lights up.
Press the "Menu" button until the channel number starts to flash, then use the "Up" or "Down" buttons to select the desired channel. Press "PTT" to set it.
Ensure the radio is set to the same channel and privacy code as the other radios in your group. Check the battery level and ensure the antenna is properly attached.
Press the "Menu" button until you see the weather icon, then use the "Up" or "Down" buttons to turn the alert on or off.
To improve battery life, use the radio in power-saving mode, reduce the volume, and turn off the radio when not in use. Use rechargeable batteries for better efficiency.
