Ensure the trimmer line is the correct diameter for the trimmer. Avoid hitting hard surfaces like concrete or rocks, and ensure the cutting head is not worn out.
The air filter should be checked before each use and replaced every 25 hours of operation or when it is visibly dirty or damaged.
Use a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to 2-stroke engine oil. Ensure the gasoline is no more than 30 days old to maintain performance.

Check for fuel blockages, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the spark plug is in good condition. Adjust the carburetor settings if necessary.
Remove the air filter cover and the carburetor, then use a carburetor cleaner spray to clean all accessible parts. Reassemble carefully, ensuring all gaskets and seals are intact.
Perform a general inspection before each use, change the air filter and spark plug every 25 hours, and inspect fuel lines and clean the carburetor every 50 hours.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the exterior, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter cord a few times to distribute the oil. Store in a dry place.
Check that the trimmer line is not too short or worn. Ensure the spool is correctly installed and the guard is not obstructing the line. Replace the line if necessary.
