To start the TRIMMAC 241, ensure it's on a flat surface. Switch the choke to the "closed" position, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible, pull the starter handle gently until resistance is felt, then pull briskly. Once the engine starts, move the choke to the "open" position.
Use a mixture of unleaded petrol and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 40:1. Ensure the fuel is well-mixed before filling the tank.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the spool cover by pressing the tabs. Take out the old line, insert new line into the holes, wind it evenly, and replace the spool cover securely.
Check if the drive shaft is properly connected. Inspect the trimmer head for blockages or damage. Ensure the throttle is responsive and that the clutch is not worn out. Replace any faulty parts as necessary.
Remove the air filter cover. Take out the filter and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly, allow it to dry completely, then reassemble it back into the trimmer.
Excessive smoke may indicate an incorrect fuel mixture. Ensure you're using the correct 40:1 fuel-to-oil ratio. Overfilled oil or blocked air filters can also cause smoking. Check and rectify these issues.
After each use, clean the trimmer of debris, check for loose parts, inspect the trimmer line, and ensure the air filter is clean. Store the trimmer in a dry, safe place.
Locate the carburetor adjustment screws. Turn the low-speed screw clockwise until it stops, then counterclockwise 1.5 turns. Adjust the high-speed screw for optimal performance while the engine is running.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is functional, and that the air filter is clean. Verify that the choke is in the correct position and attempt to start the trimmer again.
Replace the spark plug every season or after 25 hours of use to ensure reliable starting and efficient operation. Check and adjust the gap to the manufacturer's specifications.
