To start the trimmer, ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position, prime the bulb several times until fuel is visible, set the choke to 'START', and pull the starter rope until the engine fires. Then, move the choke to 'RUN' and pull again if necessary.
Use a fresh, unleaded gasoline mixed with a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil in a 40:1 ratio. Ensure the fuel mixture is well-shaken before pouring into the fuel tank.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the spool from the trimmer head, wind the new line tightly in the direction indicated on the spool, and reattach the spool to the trimmer head securely.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, verify that the air filter is clean, and ensure the fuel lines are not clogged.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of use. Replace the air filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting and replacing the trimmer line, checking for loose bolts and screws, and inspecting the spark plug regularly.
Ensure you are using the correct line diameter for the trimmer. Avoid hitting hard surfaces like rocks or concrete with the line, and maintain a steady speed while trimming.
Check for any damaged or unbalanced trimmer head components, ensure the trimmer line is evenly wound, and inspect for loose bolts or screws on the trimmer.
Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear fuel lines. Clean the trimmer, inspect for damage, and store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
Adjust the carburetor by turning the idle speed screw until the engine runs smoothly without the trimmer head moving. Adjust the low and high-speed mixture screws for optimal performance. Refer to the manual for specific settings.
