Ensure the trimmer is on a flat surface. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb 6 times. Set the choke to start, and pull the starter cord until the engine fires. Move the choke to run and pull again to start.
Use a mixture of 2% two-stroke oil and unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 90 or higher. Always use fresh fuel to ensure the best performance.
Check if the line is too old or brittle. Ensure you are using the correct diameter line and avoid hitting hard surfaces. Rewind the line correctly to prevent tangles.
Turn off the trimmer and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head cover, wind the new line onto the spool as per the arrows indicated, and replace the cover securely.
Check the fuel level and quality. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and the primer bulb is operational.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned every 25 hours of use or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily soiled.
Ensure the cooling fins are clean and unobstructed. Use the correct fuel mixture and avoid running the trimmer at full throttle for extended periods.
The correct spark plug gap is 0.6mm (0.024 inches). Check and adjust the gap as part of regular maintenance every 25 hours of use.
Ensure the cutting attachment is balanced and properly installed. Check for loose parts or damage to the trimmer shaft and repair as necessary.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the trimmer thoroughly and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
