To start the McCulloch TITANIUM HT 555 Trimmer, ensure that the power switch is in the 'on' position. Press the primer bulb a few times and pull the starter rope swiftly.
Use a mixture of unleaded petrol and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil. The recommended ratio is 40:1.
To replace the trimmer line, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug cap. Remove the spool cap, unwind the old line, and wind the new line onto the spool following the directional arrows.
If the trimmer won't start, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Also, make sure the air filter is clean.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and wash it with warm soapy water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling it.
Always wear protective eyewear, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Ensure the area is clear of bystanders, especially children and pets, before starting the trimmer.
Sharpen the blade after approximately 50 hours of use or when you notice a decline in cutting performance.
Clean the trimmer thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, and store it in a dry, cool place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.
To prevent frequent line breakage, avoid contact with hard surfaces and ensure you are using the correct thickness of line for your trimmer.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, lubricating moving parts, and ensuring the cutting head is free of debris.
