McCulloch TITAN 20-3 Spare Parts List

To start the McCulloch TITAN 20-3 Trimmer, ensure the switch is in the 'on' position, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible, set the choke to the 'start' position, and pull the starter cord until the engine fires. Once the engine starts, move the choke to the 'run' position.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter every 10 hours of operation, inspecting and replacing the spark plug annually or every 100 hours, and checking the fuel system for leaks and damage. Make sure to also clean the trimmer head and replace the trimmer line as needed.
If the trimmer does not start, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, clean or replace it if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and not clogged. Finally, make sure the carburetor is not blocked and the fuel lines are not kinked or damaged.
Use unleaded petrol with a minimum of 87 octane, mixed with high-quality two-stroke oil at a ratio of 40:1. Always use fresh fuel and mix only enough for immediate use to avoid fuel degradation.
To replace the trimmer line, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out the spool, and remove any remaining line. Cut a new piece of line, insert it into the spool, and wind it tightly in the direction of the arrows. Reattach the spool and secure the cover.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged or unbalanced trimmer head. Check for any debris or damage on the head. Ensure the trimmer line is correctly installed and balanced. Also, inspect the drive shaft and clutch for wear or damage.
To clean the air filter, remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely. If the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one. Reinstall the filter and cover securely.
Power loss can occur due to a clogged air filter, dirty spark plug, or incorrect carburetor settings. Clean or replace the air filter and spark plug, and adjust the carburetor according to the manual. Ensure the fuel mixture is correct and the fuel lines are clear.
For winter storage, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the trimmer thoroughly, inspect it for any damage, and replace worn parts. Store the trimmer in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil into the cylinder for protection.
Always wear protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and long pants. Ensure the work area is clear of debris and bystanders. Keep a firm grip on the trimmer and maintain proper footing. Never operate the trimmer while tired or under the influence of substances. Follow all safety instructions in the manual.
