To change the oil, first ensure the mower is on a level surface and the engine is cool. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick and place a suitable container under the oil drain plug. Remove the plug to drain the oil completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and amount, then replace the oil cap/dipstick.
Check if the fuel tank is full and the fuel is fresh. Ensure the spark plug is connected securely and not fouled. Inspect the air filter for dirt or clogs and clean or replace if necessary. Make sure the battery is charged and all safety features are correctly engaged.
Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season for optimal performance. However, if you notice the grass blades are torn rather than cut cleanly, sharpen the blades more frequently.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent damage to the engine.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover and take out the filter. If it's a foam filter, wash it with warm soapy water and let it dry completely. For paper filters, simply tap them gently to remove dirt. Replace the filter if it's excessively dirty or damaged.
Excessive vibration might be due to a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and sharpen or replace it if necessary. Also, check if the blade is securely fastened to the blade adapter.
Drain the fuel tank or add fuel stabilizer to prevent stale fuel issues. Change the engine oil and replace the oil filter. Clean or replace the air filter and spark plug. Store the mower in a dry place, protected from the elements.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the deck. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the drive cable is properly connected and adjusted. If the problem persists, inspect the transmission system for issues.
Clean the mower thoroughly to remove grass and debris. Drain the fuel or add a stabilizer. Change the oil and clean or replace the air filter. Disconnect the battery and store it separately. Keep the mower in a dry, protected area.
