Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, the brake is engaged, and the gear is in neutral. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it clockwise to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the battery is charged. Also, make sure the safety features are engaged properly.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and subsequently every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove the blade, and use a file or a bench grinder to sharpen the blade evenly, maintaining the original angle. Reinstall carefully.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than E10.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced. Ensure the deck is level and that tires are inflated evenly. Adjust settings as needed.
Clean the mower, change the oil, drain or stabilize the fuel, check and clean the air filter, and store in a dry place.
Excessive vibration could be due to unbalanced blades, loose components, or debris stuck under the deck. Inspect and address each possible cause.
Locate the air filter cover, remove it, take out the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the cover is secured tightly.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and ensure it is properly aligned. Inspect the linkages and adjust as necessary.
