To start the blower, ensure it is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the cold start position, press the primer bulb six times, hold the throttle trigger, and pull the starter rope until the engine fires. Then, move the choke to the run position.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Verify the air filter is clean and not clogged.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of use. Clean it with warm, soapy water and ensure it is dry before reinstalling.
Use a gasoline-oil mixture with a 40:1 ratio. Use unleaded gasoline and a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil.
To switch to vacuum mode, attach the vacuum tube and collection bag. Ensure the blower tube is removed to allow for vacuum operation.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and cleaning debris from the blower housing.
Excessive vibration could be due to loose parts or an unbalanced impeller. Check that all screws and fasteners are tight, and inspect the impeller for damage.
Loss of power may be due to a clogged air filter, old fuel, or a dirty spark arrestor. Ensure all components are clean and properly maintained.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine to burn any remaining fuel. Clean the blower and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
Wear protective eyewear and ear protection, avoid loose clothing, and never point the blower at people or animals. Always operate in a well-ventilated area.
