Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Set the throttle to 'Fast' and pull the starter handle firmly.
Use SAE 30 oil for the best performance in warmer temperatures. For varying temperatures, SAE 10W-30 is recommended.
Sharpen the blades at least once a mowing season, or more frequently if they show signs of wear.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and ensure the mower deck is level. Adjust as necessary.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove grass clippings and debris from the deck, and use a hose to wash it down. Dry thoroughly.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and examine the air filter. Replace or clean components as needed.
Locate the air filter cover, remove it, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Secure the cover back in place.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends above 10%.
Use the height adjustment levers located on each wheel to set the desired cutting height. Ensure all levers are set equally.
Check for unbalanced or bent blades, loose bolts, or debris lodged in the deck. Rectify any issues found.
