To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter cord firmly while holding the safety lever against the handle.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify there is no blockage in the air filter. If it still doesn't start, consult the manual or seek professional assistance.
Regularly check the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen the blade every 20-25 hours of use or at the start of each season. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing any maintenance.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours or at the start of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Adjust the cutting height using the lever located near each wheel. Move the lever to raise or lower the deck to the desired height.
Excessive vibration may indicate a damaged or unbalanced blade. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure it is securely fastened. Replace or balance the blade if necessary.
After use, let the mower cool down. Use a brush to remove grass clippings from the deck and a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid using water directly on the engine.
Before storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank. Store in a dry, sheltered area. Consider using a fuel stabilizer if fuel will be left in the tank.
To replace the air filter, remove the cover by unscrewing or unclipping it, take out the old filter, and insert the new one. Ensure it is seated properly before reattaching the cover.
