To start the McCulloch M56-140WFP lawn mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Then, pull the starter handle firmly while holding the safety lever against the handle.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, and inspect the air filter for obstructions. Also, make sure the safety lever is engaged while trying to start the mower.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Before storing the mower, clean it thoroughly, change the oil, remove any fuel from the tank, and disconnect the spark plug. Store it in a dry place.
To replace the blade, disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower on its side, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with a new blade and tighten securely.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade. Check the blade for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure it is properly balanced and securely attached.
Sharpen the blade after every 20-25 hours of use or whenever you notice the cut quality declining. Always balance the blade after sharpening.
Ensure the blade is sharp and properly installed. Check the cutting height settings and mow at a slower pace to ensure all grass is cut evenly.
