Ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter rope firmly while holding the handlebar lever to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 motor oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use or at the beginning of each mowing season and replace it if it appears dirty or damaged.
Check for fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is connected and in good condition, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Clean or replace components as necessary.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the lever located on the wheel bracket to the desired position. The mower has multiple height settings for different grass lengths.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass as it can cause clumping and uneven cutting. Wet conditions may also increase the risk of slipping.
After use, disconnect the spark plug and use a garden hose to wash the underside of the deck. Ensure all grass clippings are removed to prevent rust. Allow the mower to dry completely before storage.
Disconnect the spark plug and remove the blade. Use a file or sharpening stone to sharpen the blade, following the existing angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or debris caught in the deck. Check and tighten all bolts, clean the deck, and balance or replace the blades as needed.
Mow during cooler parts of the day, keep the blades sharp, ensure the deck is clean, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height at a time.
