To start the McCulloch M53-625CMDW, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Pull the primer bulb 3-5 times, engage the safety lever, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% to prevent engine damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level, spark plug connection, and air filter. Ensure the primer bulb is used correctly, and inspect the ignition system for faults.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Regularly check the oil level, clean the air filter, inspect the blade for sharpness, and ensure the wheels and chassis are clean. Lubricate moving parts as needed.
After use, disconnect the spark plug and remove grass clippings from the deck with a brush or hose. Ensure the mower is dry before storage to prevent rust.
Check for debris or grass build-up under the deck. Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance and replace if necessary. Tighten any loose bolts or screws.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug with a wrench, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new spark plug is properly gapped and tightened securely.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
